What services do you deliver to the water jetting industry?

Capital Fleet Solutions is a specialist in sourcing and supplying vans to the drainage industry.

With more than 100 years’ combined experience in the sector, we can assist with sourcing, financing and setting up a vehicle so it’s ready to start delivering for you.

So how can we help?

We can offer all of these elements, together or individually:

· Van wrapping and branding – to a high quality that’s built to last;
· Internal configuration – any of the elements you may need inside your vehicle to help you do your job, such as lining, shelving, storage solutions, jetter installation, PPE lockers or wheelchair access, for example;
· Financing and financial advice: we deal with a range of finance products and providers to get you the best solution for your budget.

We provide services for:

Franchisors

We provide you with tailored, supporting communications materials which you can share with your franchisees to source directly with us. This can be personalised to whatever vehicles or set up you wish to specify. So, when your franchisee calls us, we’ll already know what set up or the vehicle choice they require.

Established Franchisees

We can help grow your fleet, using your brief to deliver vehicles that fit your current specification. If you already have specific suppliers you wish to use for elements of the set up (van wrapping, for example), we are more than happy to work directly with your preferred suppliers.

New Franchisees

If you are starting a new franchise, or taking over an existing franchise, getting finance can often be a challenge (due to lack of company history).

We are specialists in finance and have great relationships with a range of finance providers to offer you the best solution. We have helped many companies with challenging circumstances get finance, so it’s worth giving us a call.

What are the three most important elements of service delivery for your customers and why?

1) Delivering everything in one place, hassle-free: managing the coordination of van sourcing, finance and set-up can be time-consuming and challenging. We can take all that away from you – just one call to us with your requirements and budget and we’ll take care of the rest.

2) Finance: making sure you get the finance product that is right for you is so important. Getting the right advice from experts you can trust to give you unbiased advice on what options are available can make the difference between getting a good deal and one that may not suit your current, or even future, plans. There are so many products out there, working out which one is the best can often be a minefield.

3) Quality: making sure the van, set up and branding can stand the daily challenges of the drainage sector is important. Due to the nature of business, wear and tear is a regular occurrence. We use a variety of trusted, quality suppliers we have worked with for years, ensuring we deliver a job that lasts as long as possible.

What have been the business highlights for Capital Fleet Solutions over the last 12 months?

It’s been a real period of growth for us over the last year – working closely and building even better relationships with our clients, Dyno Rod, Metro Rod, DALROD, Drain Doctor, to name a few, as well as growing our service offering to other drainage franchises and independents

Tell us something that you think anyone outside the industry will find amazing about your products and/or services

Our expertise for finding the right finance deals and vans for the needs of the customer. Often if you’re starting out as a business, getting finance can be challenging if the business history either isn’t there, or has some issues.

We’ve worked with lots of companies across many sectors to secure finance, starting the company on the road to expanding its fleet in the

future. Also our commitment to customer service and really taking the time to understand the needs of our clients.

What’s the biggest change in technology or process you have witnessed in your service sector in recent years?

Electric vehicles. It’s an obvious change, but it could revolutionise the sector. In the past, calculating residuals on these types of vehicles has meant getting finance was a challenge, but this is now levelling out.

However, it’s important to note that for the commercial sector, and particularly for the drainage sector, we feel that the widespread implementation and introduction of electric vans for drainage is a way off.

The re-charging infrastructure and battery life just isn’t there at the moment for the needs of the industry. However, when the sector evolves to meet these challenges, we expect this to really impact the daily cost of doing business, which will be ground breaking…

What do you think will be the biggest changes or challenges over the next 10 years?

Again – electric vehicles. This will change the landscape of how companies manage their fleet and source vans in the future. Rising energy costs may also play into this – if electricity continues to rise in cost, whether it’s as cost effective for companies in the future remains to be seen.

In terms of financing for these kinds of vehicles, it will be interesting to see how this works for vans in particular. How electric vans will behave in the long term and the maintenance required will be interesting to see play out.

We’ve seen production and therefore supply of petrol and diesel vans hit heavily post covid due to a shortage of semi-conductors, so ensuring the availability of EVs can meet the demand, and subsequently the disposal of vehicles post use could both potentially be issues.

Also, who takes responsibility for balancing the physical space to create the infrastructure alongside traditional methods (ie petrol stations) will be interesting.

At the moment, for cars mostly, the network is much better than it was five years ago, but again seeing how that weathers, and how charging stations will be able to service large vans quickly without losing too much time, needs to be thought through. So many questions here that will be interesting to see develop.

What are you most proud of about the way your team supports your customers?

We really go above and beyond to make sure that our customers get the very best service possible. We know the sector well, so we can talk with considerable expertise to the clients who approach us.

But it’s more than that, it’s about understanding what the individual business wants to achieve. Everyone has a slightly different history/fleet need, so we are flexible to that and listen to make sure what we provide hits the mark.

Clients know they will get an easy, professional service that delivers for them. Our vans arrive at the workplace, work-ready and we’re really proud of that.

Throughout the whole journey with us, we’re available if our clients need anything, and for these reasons people return to us time and time again.

We’re just about to start our 2nd year of membership.

Why did you decide to join?

We wanted to spread the word about what we do, but more importantly share our knowledge of the things to consider around van sourcing, supply and finance so people can make more educated choices when provided with so many options.
