WJA Safety Alert – Safe Use of Micro Jetting Hoses
The Water Jetting Association has issued a safety alert after an operative was injured while using a micro jetting hose.
The drainage engineer was struck by the small-diameter hose while it was under pressure as he was undertaking blockage clearance work.
This resulted in high pressure water injuries and cuts to the operative’s leg which required hospital treatment.
The WJA’s safety alert details key actions needed – in line with its Code of Practice for the Safe Use of High Pressure and Ultra High Pressure Water Jetting Equipment – for water jetting to be carried out safely.
